1. IgRoCS (SINCLAS)

IgRoCS is a computer program for igneous rock classification and is fully consistent with the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS). See in the paper published in Episodes. IgRoCS is an updated version of the well-known computer program SINCLAS (Verma et al., 2002, 2003).

Note that the IUGS scheme is only for fresh or relatively less altered igneous rocks.

The use of this new software is encouraged for a strict application of the IUGS recommendations for igneous rock classification and nomenclature.

You should be able to download the files needed to install and run IgRoCS. Similarly, example files and templates required to process your data can also be downloaded.

You must paste your data in the appropriate template to process them in IgRoCS.

We would request you to kindly cite our papers, especially IgRoCS, in any document you prepare and send us the full reference of your document, and if possible, the document itself.

Note : To download the programs you must create a user account.
